Don't let go of your Promised Land!

"27 They told Moses, "We went to the land where you sent us. It is indeed flowing with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. 28 But the inhabitants are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large. Moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there. 29 The Amalekites live in the land of the Negev; the Hittites, Jebusites, and Amorites live in the hill country; and the Canaanites live by the sea and along the banks of the Jordan." 30 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses, saying, "Let us go up and occupy it, for we are well able to conquer it." 31 But the men who had gone up with him said, "We are not able to go up against these people, because they are stronger than we are!" 32 Then they presented the Israelites with a discouraging report of the land they had investigated, saying, "The land that we passed through to investigate is a land that devours its inhabitants. All the people we saw there are of great stature. 33 We even saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak came from the Nephilim), and we seemed liked grasshoppers both to ourselves and to them."
Num 13:27-33

The Lord promised the people of Israel land; this land was flowing with milk and honey. Milk signifying nourishment the land would provide through its harvest of and the honey signifying the sweet life of comfort the land would provide. The Israelites felt that since they had been provided all this,it meant they were getting it all on the silver platter. They did not realise that they would have to battle certain things to fully prove how much they wanted it and to test their faith in God that they could conquer the intruders on the land.
Caleb was the only one who was able to provide reasonable suggestion as to what to do. He was simply in tune with God and he understood what was expected of him. In spite of all this, the other delegates sent to survey the land, lacked his kind of faith and reasoning. They over exaggerated the issue and cause disbelief among the people of Israel. We still have modern day Christians exhibiting this same trait. The Lord reveals the great plans and ideas that He wants us to accomplish. Take these plans as your promised land, but we think that these plans are beyond us. Does the cat have to learn how to kill its prey?it has already has killer instincts which just have to be put to the test. In other words what I am saying is that the Lord has already equipped you to handle those plans or ideas, its a matter of putting these abilities to the test.
Now when the Lord provides the idea, instead of thinking of all how to execute the idea,we spend time poking holes in the idea and being ungrateful. We complain so much and make the little struggles we would have to face to achieve that God given vision bigger than they should be. This is exactly what the delegates sent to the promise land did and it stirred so much turmoil in the camp of the Israelites. If you have taken time to sit down and reflect, you would realise that negativity spreads faster than the positive things. God has revealed great ideas to you and shown you magnificent visions ahead, but you so busy looking at the hurdles that you might face that you are not planning ahead and even being appreciative. It is this same attitude that caused the Israelites to stir up the anger of God so much that they never saw the Promise land. This is what is happening to many Christians today,we complain and talk about issues so much that we don't appreciate what God has given us to work with. Our complaints arrest the move of God in our lives and He is unable to release his glorious blessings upon us.
David made us understand in 1 Chronicles 17 that when the Lord blesses his children, it is an eternal blessing, meaning it’s not just for you but for the many generations to come.  Bear in mind that whatever you do now could affect your generation and those after either positively and negatively. When God places a great idea or vision before you,He wants you to think beyond yourself and look into the future. He wants us to open ourselves to His spirit and see things through His eyes so that we can really progress. He requires you to apply a certain a level of wisdom and determination, strive to be a problem solver who wants to take the next positive action led by His Spirit rather than complain. The Israelites proved to us countless times that, complaining releases the anger of God and it causes Him to keep His distance from us. Let us work to avoid the anger of God, be guided by your spirit in all things rather than the issues of life.
God has declared an out pour of His Spirit in the last days which is spoken of greatly in the bible, He will move in a mighty way. People of God stand well,as the Lord pours out His Spirit,He is opening doors to provide us with the resources to move promote His ministry. As some of you read this blog,The Lord has already revealed great things He wants you to accomplish. Stop thinking that you cannot do it and don't think of looking down at yourself, this is simply because you are fearfully and wonderfully made. The Lord did not create you to look down upon yourself; you are not failure at all so in this light, let the Word of God renew your mind and begin to have a mind of a person who can succeed no matter the trial. Remember this, for every time you entertain a negative thought about yourself, you are telling God that He did a terrible job of creating you. Always bear in mind that He is the potter and you are the clay, He will always work to make sure that your finished product is admirable and worthy of His Glory . All we have to do is make ourselves available to him and be willing to follow His directions. The Lord has equipped you to accomplish great works in your life time.
The Lord has particularly put visions of business ideas upon His Children to be carried out through which His Word would spread to many nations. The Lord is displeased that many of us are sitting on such visions and not seeking His face about the next move to make. People of God, don’t allow the voice of man to override that of God, and don’t allow the words of man to discourage you from doing what God has instructed you to do. At the end of the day,you will have to give a personal account to God of all that you did for Him..Would you have a good report to make? Think closely about this.
Time is not on our side, the time to act is now, don't wait a moment longer. Caleb saw the promise land because He kept himself in tune with God and did not allow the words of man to deter him. Caleb looked beyond the problems and provided solutions; he demonstrated the character of one who wastes no time with talk but take actions.
Some of you have spent you whole life planning and debating about whether to carry out the business plan or begin your ministry. You are sitting down and waiting for God to do something miraculous before you are confident to make that move, my question to you is this how long are you going to keep debating whether to start or not? The Israelites did not want to work out their Promise land; they wanted God to do everything so they were surprised to find that they had more things to battle. You cannot sit down and expect that God will do everything, take a step of faith and ask Him questions every step of the way. We always want things on a silver platter instead of working to receive our gain from God. The fact that we have the help of God in our lives it does not mean we must be lazy or laid back, there is work to be done in the Kingdom of God. We must always be in tune with God and have conversations with Him as you take steps to achieve your target. The reason why we are alarmed by certain trials that come our way as we strive to achieve is because we have not kept ourselves in tune with Him so then how He prepare us to handle it well. Let’s spend more time with God, put technology on hold and hear what God has to say!

People of God, in the face of problems, look to the God who makes all impossibilities in the sight of man reach the manifestation of possibilities. Don't look lose sight of your promise land, commune more with the Lord more and gain direction on what to do next. Remember that your are never alone,God walks with you. Joseph dreamt of His greatness ahead, he did not know how it would happen but he believed God every step of the way. In the face of all the trials he faced; Joseph came out stronger and humbled. He had placed his trust in God throughout. God needs His people to trust Him more than ever, be totally dependent on Him.
Keep in mind that through the journey of the unknown, the Lord walks with you, this is what the Israelites failed to understand. They thought that God had abandoned them when things got tough, they did not see that their faith was being put to the test. It is through God that we find strength and determination to carry on. God has given the promised land to you,He did not promise that it would be easy although He has totally assured His people that He will be with them every step of the way. Be assured of that today, discourage negativity around you as it aborts the visions of God. Always be led by the Spirit of God and be encouraged to stand no matter the odds against you. God will not leave you defeated!
