I have seen God at work

Hello my wonderful readers, hope you are well and basking in the glory of God! For this month’s post, I share with you a poem that I wrote recently. It centers on the God’s power at work in our lives, even in the little things that we deem insignificant. I don’t know what your present circumstance looks like but I do know that in all things God is fully in charge. His word makes us understand that He is with us, working behind the scenes and it’s just a matter of trusting Him. I do hope that this piece causes you to sit back and reflect on all God has done for you, I even encourage you to write it down. As you do so, you will begin to realize that God is working for you through thick and thin. Enjoy! “For the Lord your God has arrived to live among you. He is a mighty savior. He will rejoice over you with great gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will exult over you by singing a happy song” Zephaniah 3:17 I have seen God at work I have seen God at work...

Part 2 : Is there hope in the valley?

Hello dear readers, Firstly I do apologize for the delay in the posting  this late, it was due to circumstances beyond my control. I do hope you were enlightened and blessed by the last post, please don't hesitate to share your views on the topic! In our last post, we looked at Ezekiel 37 verse 1-14, which speaks of the encounter that Ezekiel had with the Lord in the valley of dry bones. It was a pivotal moment in which we came to understand the power of God's word in our lives. The valley also gives us a  powerful image of God , it tells us  that no matter how much we look down on ourselves in life, God is always looking to turn our stories around in life. By virtue of the first declaration that Ezekiel made, God taught Ezekiel how to exercise authority through His Word over the situation. God could have spoken over the situation Himself  but He needed Ezekiel to recognize the spiritual authority in his mouth and exercise it effectively. God may place you in...

Is there hope in the valley?

Hello my fellow readers, hope you are doing well? I had a few thoughts  on my mind that I wish to share with you. I am sure the title of the post has you wondering what this young lady is going to talk about today. Let's satisfy all curiosity and get straight into the Word! The bible story that I am focusing on today is quite familiar to everyone, its coming straight out of Ezekiel 37:1-14. This is when the Lord took the Prophet Ezekiel into the valley of dry bones, he speaks of the miracle that he witnessed when the bones came together and rose up. This story is mostly used in sermons to depict to us the power  of our words, especially when it is backed by the Spirit of God. This story spoke to me in an entirely different way, the Holy Spirit made me focus closely on the location of the miracle and not just the subjects of it. The word says in Ezekiel 37 verse 1-2: "The Lord took hold of me, and I was carried away by the Spirit of the Lord to a valley filled with bones. 2...

My meditations

Hello my fellow readers, I hope and pray by the Grace of God that you are doing well? These last few days, I have been mediating on the love of God. I have found  myself looking back at how far God has brought me and I amazed. Even as i journey with Him, no matter how many times I falter, God always has a way of holding me up. It has always been my prayer that I never forget where I came from and who I used to be because it is indeed a miracle from above. This verse has been resonating in my spirit: 2  Dear brothers and sisters, [ a ]  when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.   3  For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.   4  So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing." James 1:2-3 It makes me grateful for everything that I have gone through because it has made me who I am today.  I am stil...

We are saints lying in wait!

Hello my darling readers, I hope that you are all doing well by the grace and mercy of God. I have been rather quiet these last two months for which I do apologize, its been a rather tough time which I would share with you in time. I thank God for His strength through it all and for inspiring me with something new to share with you in the month of March. I pray that this piece blesses you immensely! The eyes through which I see things have changed My perspectives on life have been transformed It is not because I read Marx’s Communist Manifesto or delightful poetry by Keats! You see as I gaze upon my surroundings everyday.... The Lord has made me see that His Second coming draws nigh The world has become more temporal to me These physical things are of lesser interest to me The worldly success that it dangles before my eyes are not my focal point anymore! These materials and accolades that we accumulate on earth Are they ever a guarantee of the heavenly glory t...

Death was necessary for new growth!!!!

Happy New year everyone! I thank God that we all made it into the New Year by the grace and mercies of God. It promises to be a fruitful year as there is so much that God has in store for us. It is my prayer that as we draw closer and closer to Him, we begin to see the full manifestation of His wondrous works in our lives! We have prepared our goals for the year, put plans together and are praying through them. In our excitement though, there is a tendency to look back at the previous year and it brings back all kinds of feelings. Some are good, others just make us groan in our spirit. Recently I was listening to a message by Pastor Steven Furtick entitled “I’m glad it happened”. In the message he reflected on how the year 2017 had gone and the kind of mindset that we had to carry into 2018. I was deeply moved by the message and as I listened, the story of the death and resurrection of Lazarus dropped in my spirit. This is a story that we are all familiar and it has been preached ...
