Anointed to birth solutions!

As I delve deeper in the story of Daniel, I find that my perspective on God is rapidly changing. Daniel really partnered with God in his ministry and had no doubts about God called him to do. He kept pushing forward and trusting that God would take him where he needed to be, no matter how daunting things became! Today I am focusing on Daniel 2, in this chapter the King had been experiencing disturbing dreams and he sought to find answers to it. He called up on all the wisest men and advisers in the kingdom to bring up interpretations but there was an interesting twist to this. He told them they had to able to tell him what exactly the dream was and what it meant. The people tried to manipulate him into telling them what the dream was about but he stood firm on his stance. Eventually they gave up and told him that his request was impossible so he gave a decree for them to be executed which included Daniel and his three friends. Note this, in the bible passage, Daniel did not go an...

Obedience brings Distinction!

God always looking for opportunities to bless us in unique ways through our obedience to Him. It is in those moments that we must apply more wisdom, so that the glory of God that is supposed to be manifest through the blessing is not lost. I have been thinking about the fact that God expects us to follow His leading in everything we do and every decision that we make. We should not just seek God’s counsel in big decisions but also in the minor decisions that may seem insignificant. This morning while reading Daniel Chapter 1, I was really struck by the way Daniel handled the instructions of the Lord while preparing towards becoming a court official.  King Nebuchadnezzar gave specific instructions on the kinds of people he wanted picked for the position and how they should be trained:   " The king said, “They must be healthy, handsome, smart, wise, educated, and fit to serve in the royal palace. Teach them how to speak and write our language    and give ...

At Your Feet

Hello my lovely readers! I have been missing in action for some months now but sometimes we need a break to reflect and allow fresh ideas roll in. I appreciate all those who took time to check up on me, God richly bless you! Today, I would like to share this poem with you which comes out of a realization I made in the midst of some challenges. Sometimes the issue of life has a way of unsettling us suddenly and there is really no room to think clearly. We forget everything that we know we are supposed to do as children of God and just fall into unending anxiety. The truth is, that is our human side showing up but we are not suppose to let it overwhelm us deeply. Worry makes us wander around like confused beings seeking direction everywhere and making God the last point of call. God is supposed to be the first one we go to in times of troubles but how fast you run to Him depends on the relationship you have created with Him. Think of it like a father and daughter relationship, the da...

I have seen God at work

Hello my wonderful readers, hope you are well and basking in the glory of God! For this month’s post, I share with you a poem that I wrote recently. It centers on the God’s power at work in our lives, even in the little things that we deem insignificant. I don’t know what your present circumstance looks like but I do know that in all things God is fully in charge. His word makes us understand that He is with us, working behind the scenes and it’s just a matter of trusting Him. I do hope that this piece causes you to sit back and reflect on all God has done for you, I even encourage you to write it down. As you do so, you will begin to realize that God is working for you through thick and thin. Enjoy! “For the Lord your God has arrived to live among you. He is a mighty savior. He will rejoice over you with great gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will exult over you by singing a happy song” Zephaniah 3:17 I have seen God at work I have seen God at work...

Part 2 : Is there hope in the valley?

Hello dear readers, Firstly I do apologize for the delay in the posting  this late, it was due to circumstances beyond my control. I do hope you were enlightened and blessed by the last post, please don't hesitate to share your views on the topic! In our last post, we looked at Ezekiel 37 verse 1-14, which speaks of the encounter that Ezekiel had with the Lord in the valley of dry bones. It was a pivotal moment in which we came to understand the power of God's word in our lives. The valley also gives us a  powerful image of God , it tells us  that no matter how much we look down on ourselves in life, God is always looking to turn our stories around in life. By virtue of the first declaration that Ezekiel made, God taught Ezekiel how to exercise authority through His Word over the situation. God could have spoken over the situation Himself  but He needed Ezekiel to recognize the spiritual authority in his mouth and exercise it effectively. God may place you in...

Is there hope in the valley?

Hello my fellow readers, hope you are doing well? I had a few thoughts  on my mind that I wish to share with you. I am sure the title of the post has you wondering what this young lady is going to talk about today. Let's satisfy all curiosity and get straight into the Word! The bible story that I am focusing on today is quite familiar to everyone, its coming straight out of Ezekiel 37:1-14. This is when the Lord took the Prophet Ezekiel into the valley of dry bones, he speaks of the miracle that he witnessed when the bones came together and rose up. This story is mostly used in sermons to depict to us the power  of our words, especially when it is backed by the Spirit of God. This story spoke to me in an entirely different way, the Holy Spirit made me focus closely on the location of the miracle and not just the subjects of it. The word says in Ezekiel 37 verse 1-2: "The Lord took hold of me, and I was carried away by the Spirit of the Lord to a valley filled with bones. 2...

My meditations

Image
Hello my fellow readers, I hope and pray by the Grace of God that you are doing well? These last few days, I have been mediating on the love of God. I have found  myself looking back at how far God has brought me and I amazed. Even as i journey with Him, no matter how many times I falter, God always has a way of holding me up. It has always been my prayer that I never forget where I came from and who I used to be because it is indeed a miracle from above. This verse has been resonating in my spirit: 2  Dear brothers and sisters, [ a ]  when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.   3  For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.   4  So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing." James 1:2-3 It makes me grateful for everything that I have gone through because it has made me who I am today.  I am stil...
